Project Boat For Sale TEST
Caviare is a South Coast One Design (SCOD), she is a 25ft 11in (7.7m) long-keeled cruiser/racer designed by the late Charles Nicholson and built by Lallow in 1955. 106 SCODs were built up until 1970 by a variety of buiders including: Burnes, Clare Lallow, Camper & Nicholson, Woodnutts and WA Souter, the majority of these are still in use today and have ranged as far as the Americas and Australia.
I have owned Caviare (sail number 6) for a number of years, most of which has been spent in my workshop during restoration. All the big jobs are done e.g. new planking below the water line, new bronzed silicone keel bolts, new oak stringers for planking ect. She will be available with almost everything to complete her, including re-conditioned engine, full mast with sails and rigging and other items ready for sailing.
She needs a bit more tlc before she is read for the water, but unfortunately my health is interfering with this work and I have made the reluctant decision to pass her onto someone who can complete this work and get her back into the water where she belongs.
If you are interested in taking on Caviare as a winter project, please give me a call for more information. I know I will not recoup money spent on her but I will be happy to allow her to go to a good home.
